Hello again, I had been working more on Chicontroller and added a new feature...

I added a incremental jog support, and, have built a jog out from a burnt Hard Drive 8-) , sensor has no cantact with disk, it works optically so it is very "soft" to rotate by hand, I can assign Active layer playhead position as endless to it and can do a video scratch!

Please reply ;) . Thanks!

Wow!
That looks like a lot of fun :D
Great job. I thought of building controllers myself, but i would not have a clue what to do with all those wires etc... A harddisk for video scratching... You should tell people that you actually are scratching the videofiles right on the disc HAHA. :D

I'm in the process of making my own Midi controller atm, using Midibox. http://www.ucapps.de
not making a resolume controller (yet) just starting off with a simple foot pedal interface for Live. but should be able to use it for resolume as well.
Thank you.
Midibox projects appears to be very good. Good luck!

You can build a midi controller project from the internet, the Midibox ones appears to be excellent ... but mine isnt from there.

I had an idea... if resolume could accept two midi controllers to make same function, I could put the hard drive heads back and use it as absolute playhead position, as vynil's turntable "arm" does.

Here a video with my midi jog working.

Hello again Guys!

Midi Chicontroller has been upgraded (gambigraded :D )

It have received an USB port, so can be connected directly to any computer or laptop.
It powers from the USB port, so no batteries or external supply is needed.
Midi port has been keeped and still working normally.
Also received one sliding control, like mixer crossfader ones.

...but is no longer being used for VJing since I stopped working as a VJ.

Wow, that jogwheel made of HDD it's fantastic, and the "design" too.

I heard of jogwheel made of HDD but, never seen one.

Very nice I found it for Resolume B-)

Do you have any blog/PDF on how to made one ?

Thank you. Very good job man !
