I'm new to Resolume and *love* it. I write software too, and I'm constantly amazed how much thought went into the design of this. Very very thorough, very nice job.
That said, one area that I find under-developed is the ability to organize banks. A few things that would make this easier, at least for me:
- ability to move clips around within a bank. Personally I like to put my most used clips at the top left of a bank, but as it is I have to reimport them to do so.
- ability to label clips in a bank. Sometimes the thumbnail preview isn't very descripive. A one word label would be great.
- ability to leave notes about a clip in a bank. Could leave notes about what time a specific thing happens, that sort of thing. A little text popup field? Or maybe a folder tab next to the other clip properties?
- ability to set thumbnail for a clip. Currently it uses the first frame of the movie, but in the clips I'm using that's often all black since its before anything has faded in yet.
- ability to remove a clip from a bank. Currently the only way to do this is to replace it with something else, correct?
Just a few thoughts.
