speed buttons?

Hi, I'm looking for a way to quickly trigger .5x or 2x speed on my clips. I want to be able to do it more quickly and more precisely than with the little speed up/down sliders. I'd think this could be done easily by the resolume folks as one of the assignable fx. Any love? If not, can speed be mapped to a midi controller? (A nice knob could do it quickly enough)
