Despite of my new PC (system specs: P4 2,4 Ghz, 2x512MB DDR, ATI RADEON 9500 PRO), Resolume isn't running very well.
As soon as I start playing back more than one video clip, playback totally slows down.
Btw: I am using the ATI's dualhead-feature, displaying the videos fullscreen!

What could be the reason for my problem? Can codecs or resolution really affect it that much?

yes codecs can really have a huge effect.
If you don't compress your material in a good way it will slow down dramatically.
Also using higher resolutions will of course slow everything down much more because it has to calculate much more. Try rendering your video with cinepak or indeo and set each frame a keyframe. Resolutions upto 640x480 are doable but you have to see to what extend your hardware can go.
just test some different codecs on different resolutions and see what happends..

cheers
