R2.41 can't "hear" my soundcard output

Hi Folks ...

Still finding my way round R2.41 ...

I've followed all the advice I can find in the manual and on the forums, but I can't get any audio response inside R2.41.

The volume is up pretty high, and the correct sound device is selected in R2.41 properties and in the Windows multimedia Control Panel playback and record sections, but nothing shows up in the Audio FFT section.

I can't get this working with the onboard sound chip or with my USB Novation nio audio interface.

Audio is playing at the moment, but no response inside R2.41. Could anyone suggest things to try?
