clip size & format for V2.41

Post by ruchika »

Hi all,
I'm new to this and just downloaded Resolume 2.41 on my PC.
Few questions and clarifications as I've heard differently from people:

1) CLIP SIZE ---> 320X240 is best, is this correct? wouldn't the visuals be very pixelated if VJing on a big screen in a club?!

2) CLIP SIZE ---> 2 MB.. this doesn't sound right at all... please clarify how large a clip can be max.

3) AVI is best format.. All my cliips are quicktime on a MAC as I use Final Cut Pro to edit... this is kinda a pain in the ass to compress and convert and then move to an Ext. HD and plug it into my PC to use Resolume..
--> Before I start on this process, any suggestions on the best way to edit, compress, convert and play it on Resolume??? Especially if I want to stick to using a MAC and quicktime files??

Please do respond asap as I'd like to get started! Thank you in advance!!

I use 640x480 movs encoded with mjpeg, this works fine for me. Just make sure you have quicktime on your pc and you can use your clips on mac and pc.
