resolution / framrate

does anyone use 800x600? right now i'm using 320x240 with 29.97fps and i just feel i could have a lot better quality running 800x600 with the dual monitor setup... but i'm not sure if it would run alright... on my old computer(amd 1200mhz) it was pretty framey and with my new computer(p4 2.4) it seems to run fine. i'm wondering if anyone uses ntsc 800x600 avi's and if it runs smooth?
