Layer Blend Modes... no choices

Is anyone else seeing this - running XP Pro.

Have you tried clicking on the little down-pointing black arrow next to the blend modes? That opens up a menu of a bunch of different compositing modes. You can replace the three blend modes with any of those from the longer menu.

Did you disable the global effects and blend modes in the preferences?
This is makes the engine a lot faster on high resolution but obviously disables the global effects and blend modes ;-)

It clearly shows in his photo that he is clicking on the arrow and it is not showing any menu choices. :(

Ok - it wasn't a bug it was an option -
Did you disable the global effects and blend modes in the preferences?
- yes inadvertently I had done this ...

I am going to play with hi-resoloution output so will be interested to see the performance hit/saving when global effects and blend modes is enabled/disabled.
