Alpha Channel movies

Hi,

I rendered a movie in After Effects with an alpha channel using "animation" codec with the assumption that it works with the luma key alpha layer mode in Avenue. I tried both a quicktime and avi format but neither are recognized by Avenue. Am I missing something?

Hi,

worked well here,

See the image, layer 2 and 3 at 100% opacity and does not cover the layer 1.

Layer 2, with the video codec - Animation.

Layer 3, with the video codec - JPEG 2000.

Tested on XP Pro, XP Pro 64bit and MacOS, worked at all.

To create a QuickTime video with an alpha channel, you must select Million of Color+ from the compressor / Depth setting ...
