Want to buy Resolume 3

I am an art student and i want to use resolume to make live visual art... it would be great if i got the following answers...
1. If i buy this beta version, do i have to pay extra when the main ver.3 and so on and so forth is released?
2. If i install it on my computer and it crashes, then what? basically can the serial be used just once? what if i want to transfer it to a better machine?
3. will the ver 3 have a facilty to record so that i can show my work later on?
4. will it have more effects?
5. what is the cheapest recommended midi controller because if i buy resolume now i will be left with very little cash :-/

I'll try to answer some of you questions.
1) you are buying R3 not beta, so you don't have to pay anything later on.
2)
3) it already has record function but without audio, that will be fixed
4) it will, ffgl are new so they are in development
5) try UC-33e, or behringer bcd 2000
