Colum/Layer restriction

Post by VJzoo »

when making compasions it would be great if you could restric the amount of colums and/or layers.

would it be easy for you to add this as a feature? so you could set the max number of colums in a layer and max layers, so it fits right for your resolution and when you import clips so it would just fill up like in R2. :)

Hi every one i don't think it wuold be difficult that most of us create a small program to import the files to new standard composition on resolume 3. I found a file on My Documents\Resolume Avenue 3\compositions\demo.avc is a xml file plain text!!! so i suggest a small prog like that:
Image
and create your compositions and decks in a few steps selecting the directory and some other small things!
Don't be scared is a XML standard file!! take a look on it and create yourself!!!
Would be nice if Edwin and Bard make public the specifications of that file on the manual!

The specification of the XML files is not a secret but it's a lot work describing all the values and what they mean so we won't be doing anything like that soon.
But you could create a simple composition with some layers and decks, nothing fancy and take that as a template.
If you have some questions about what's some values mean i can allways shed a light of course.
