Trasparent Video

Post by SovietMontageCinema »

Hey all,
I'm new to the whole VJing thing, so please forgive me if my technical knowledge isn't quite up to scratch. :D

I really want to use transparent video in Resolume 2.41 to give a more layered effect, rather than simply transitioning between full-screen clips. Is there a way I can do this?
I am aware of the alpha keying option but it always seems to come out pixelated, especially with animation.

Cheers!

You need to export your videos using a 32bit codec, such as Quicktime PNG, with millions of colours+ ticked.

Thanks!
I'd tried that already but still found it a bit jaggy around the edges, but I'm using a rubbishy picture with poor colours, so I'm sure it'll work if I use something with bolder colours and a better defined outline (which is what I want anyway).

Thanks all the same :)
