Hi guy's.
Bart mentioned about assigning midi to loop start and end points a couple of months back, he said this was a feature you we're working on, is this still planned? will it be implamented soon? I'm really missing this function, six clip start point's are not enough (although they are really handy). I need smooth sweeping (Independant) midi assignable clip start/end points. I hope you can implament them soon.
If anyone want's to +1 this please show your support.
Thanks
ni-cad.
Clip loop points
Re: Clip loop points
+1
Midi assignable In/Out points would be very, very nice!
And one more feature request: the option to have the in/out points snapping to a grid. The options for the grid could be: off (no snapping), 2 beats, 1 beat, half and quarter beats.

Re: Clip loop points
it would also be cool if you could zoom in on the timeline and nudge those cue points a little more accurately.
Re: Clip loop points
MIDI mapping for in- and out points is still on our todo-list.
Untill then you can use the magnify button to get a closer look at the timeline and when holding down the ctrl (command ) key you can adjust sliders more accurately.

Re: Clip loop points
Cool. I'll try that! Didn't even see a magnify on there.
Re: Clip loop points
It doesn't magnify by much does it? it would be best if it filled the whole screen IMO, more like a traditional wave editor.

Re: Clip loop points
No it doesn't magnify that much, depends reaaly how big your screen is. And the window can't overlap the output monitor for technical reasons so it's size is limited. But you easily gain a 100% magnification, so it's helpfull nevertheless and when used together with the Ctrl key you gain quite a lot of detail.
Tip: Map the magnify button to a keyboard key (or MIDI) for quick access.

Re: Clip loop points
Yeah but when you say %100 magnification, whats that in relation to? %100 of the screen, the window? There is no standards for WAV display size, only the size that software creators choose to implement.
Much as you need to be able to zoom in to precise frames when editing video it's the same situation in audio editing, except instead of frames you need to see zero crossing point's within the WAV. If you slice waveforms out side of these point's you get a very audible clipping sound.
The Q point feature is excellent it looks to me like it's just not being exploited fully as a feature but maybe I'm using it the wrong way?
Can you zoom in on a selected area of the WAV, for example the tail of a kick drum within a loop, or even further to be able to see your crossing point's? Because I can't see how at my end.

Re: Clip loop points
Sorry..i didn't mean to say a full 100%, but i meant a 100% increase in detail. So twice teh amount you have when not using the magnify feature. Of course a better wave editor would be nice but there are just so many other things we need to fix and or get right so it's really not our priority.
