ASIO problems on Windows ?

Post by jeff32 »

Hi!

I saw this post by Edwin on the forum:
http://www.resolume.com/forum/viewtopic ... sio#p17569

I'm having more or less the same problem: I have a USB M-Audio soundcard on my vista laptop, and when i try to configure the ASIO settings it somehow turns my soundcard driver out. There are several more bugs in the ASIO management by Resolume: wit one setting the clip won't play when audio is sticked to it, etc... I wanted to know if this is still something that the team is working on, or is it perhaps only my computer?

Thanks

When you mention Vista and ASIO in one sentence you send shivers down the spines of any computer music maker or developer. Vista sucks, wait for Windows 7 and use XP in the meantime ...

thanx for your reply. i get your point, everyone's telling me! but right now i'm gonna have to stick with vista for technical reasons, at least for a while. i was just wondering, because when i use Reason or Ableton live, all the ASIO parameters work as they should. just wanted to know if this bug edwin was talking about has been fixed in the 3.0 version ?

I'm using ASIO on Vista, through the free ASIO4All driver.

Have you tried that?

Dan.

thanks, i was consider trying that. do you have a good latency value with that?? i would rather use my sound card driver but it doesn't work with resolume. the only one that works fine is the full duplex thing... but still i have to place sound and video on two different layers and sync them with a midi shortcut. when i put both video and sound in one clip location, the video plays in a posterized sort of way...
