Note that the Record function in Resolume records whatever is currenly playing In Resolume. So what you see and hear in you composition is recorded.
Because it is not yet possible to capture the audio from a DV camera in Resolume it will also not record it.
Resolume 3.0.1 Released
Re: Resolume 3.0.1 Released
Audio input from external sources is not possible at all at the moment but it is on our todo list. We do not yet know when it will be done.
In the meantime you could try to input external audio via the Wormhole 2 VST plugin but we have not tried it yet so let us know how it does!

Re: Resolume 3.0.1 Released
Hi,
I have a problem with Live-Vieo IN in Resolume 3....
1st I was trying to setup one FirewireIN and two USB-IN and all I got was juddering videos on the output (btw: resolume printed about 45fps in Previewmonitor, so the speed of the Machine is not the problem (2x2,53GHz Core2 DUO System (4Gig) with Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT (512M)) tested with vista and XP). Then I re sized the Setup to only one Input at a time and I have the same Problem!
I'm using following USB Adapter and all of them are working in Arkaos on the same System without any problems...
Dazzle DVC100 and a Terratec Grabster Series Adapter (Version 2).
Both are playing in Arkaos, or with grabbing Software like DVDrecorder from pinnacle without any problems, but in resolume 3 they don't work correctly.
BTW I also tried to run them on resolume 2.41 and one of them was there also playing without problems - sorry, doesn't remember with of them was working, but the other Adapter wasn't shown up in Sources, so i thing the Driver was not recognised by resolume....
2nd Problem is to switch the decks when there is a Live Input on the next deck...
...then the Framerate is about 5fps and also a short freeze of the output for about 1/2 second.....
Playing our own Clips (also in 1440x576, our prefered Setup 2xPAL side by side) with DVX or MJPEG Codec is no problem - only Livevideo in is not possible.

Re: Resolume 3.0.1 Released
I had a go with this plugin and it works fine! I'll post an example in a few hours/tonight...bart wrote:Audio input from external sources is not possible at all at the moment but it is on our todo list. We do not yet know when it will be done.

There is a bit delay/latency, but.... it seems to do a bit of the "minus + minus = plus" thing here...
you got a bit latency live, but when you record, it all fits reasonably well afterwards.. the recorded file is a lot more in sync than the live feed... still testing and playing

GeeEs did you end up posting a example or tutoiral of how you did this with wormhole? I am interested in recording external audio as well. I would prefer to record DJ audio and the VJ mix with resolume 3.0 instead of doing it some sort of external PVR or DVD-R.
Just curious. I understand that resolume does not allow for recording of line-in audio, and only records the audio from the clips within the program. What about audio playing nativly on the computer, say iTunes or a audio cd?
Want to map LED rings with Resolume? Then look no further: https://goo.gl/f2dPGu
Re: Resolume 3.0.1 Released
any news about flash compability ??
Re: Resolume 3.0.1 Released
Sorry for the delay... here is a short guide for using the wormhole2 plugin for line-in recording with Avenue.
1) Look at the screenshot.
I use Fruity Loops (FL) as the host in this case and just added the wormhole2 vst to the master effectstrip.
Now -everything- happening inside FL is sent to the wormhole2 vst. (In my case I selected a line-in from my soundcard "PCI in L", which is connected to my mixer/mic/gear). It should work in a similar way in any other VST host i guess.
2) Give a meaningfull name to the wormhole2 connection and select in the dropdownmenu this instance as the "start" (of the wormhole
)
3) Open Avenue and navigate to the audio effects. Look for wormhole2. (make sure you put the Wormhole2.dll inside "x:/.../...Resolume Avenue 3.0.1/plugins/afx/vst" folder!!).
4) Put the wormhole2 vst as a composition effect and make it the "end" (of the wormhole)
5) Use the received audio to record, use it to control parameters, enjoy!
That's basicly it. I use a emu0404 soundcard with emu-asio drivers and this combination works...
On my laptop with an onboard realtekHD soundcard and asio4all I can't get it to work. It won't let me open more then 1 instance of the wormhole2 plugin at a time.
