Live 8 and Resolume

I'm noticing some triggering weirdness. I have a bunch of clips in Resolume being triggered by midi clips in Live. Whenever I trigger the clips in Live the corresponding clips in Resolume are triggered 3 times in very quick succession. Also if there are clips running in different layers in Resolume these get re-triggered simultaneously, even though they are mapped to different notes. The mappings are Application level with deck focus but I tried a couple at Composition level and got the same results.

Any ideas?

Maybe you still have some other shortcuts in layer focus. Maybe some shortcuts are double mapped or of course Ablteton is sending messages more then once. Try using a midi monitor like MidiOx to see what kind of messages you are receiving.

Thanks Edwin.....you're right. Because I trigger my clips in Live with the monome, which communicates on the IAC bus, my Live trigger clip mappings were getting sent to Resolume along with the actual midi note contained in the Live clip resulting in multiple mappings in Resolume.

So I have to clear out all my monome mappings in Live (potentially 860!)beforehand and then do all my Resolume mapping. Do you think in the future, Resolume might include it's own virtual bus rather than use the IAC?

Use different MIDI channels for Monome -> Live, and Live -> Resolume?

Thanks but sadly that will not work. It seems Live still sends anything mapped through the iac bus out across all channels on the iac bus. So let's say my trigger clip has C2 on channel 7 from the monome (using channels 1-8)....a note on for that note will still get sent out on channel 9 going to the iac bus and on to Resolume......not only that but note offs for all other mappings appear to get sent out too. It's a PITA.......

For now I 'm just keeping a "Mapping" copy of the template (no monome assignments) for making asssignments from Live to Res. When Res is set I open the "Control" copy of Live which includes (monome asignments made) and drag in the clips from the "Mapping" copy. Works fine......
