LaCie have a 120gb harddrive on the apple site cheap (£159), and they are small and very good

LaCie's new drives are great. but i trust fans more than i do the new cooling system...
its a aluminum housing that cools the drive, and in a hot club with much sound i rely on the fan cooled drives...
without a fan the drive never gets cooler than the suroundings... but than again the drives are really small fast and not expensive (and they look great)...

what about speed - i found some nice pocket firewire drives that run at upto 5400rpm - is this fast enough? or do i need a 7200rpm drive? Am looking to buy a drive this afternoon so if nyone could let me know :)

this 250 GB special edition drive by western digital is the BOMB: http://www.wdc.com/en/products/combo250gbse.asp

the neon-colored lights are a bit cheesy, but then i realized that they're cool at gigs because they light up my area with a glow. it also supports both usb 2.0 and firewire (480 and 400 Mbit/sec, respectively).

if you're going to mix live video, don't mess around - get 7200 rpm, 8MB cache, usb 2.0. sell all your other possessions to raise the funds if you have to!

peace.
