when using midi sequenced clips ( for instance when using ableton to control avenue ) the clip which is shown in clip properties changes each time a new clip is triggered.
this makes it almost impossible to prepare and alter clips which arent being used in a midi triggered sequence as the clip keeps changing. is it possible to have an option along the lines of " midi triggered clip is not selected in clip properties" otherwise, it becomes very difficult to interact with avenue when using it with a sequencer.

I agree, this is a problem. It would be great to have a prep area where you prepare a whole set of clips.
