Question about OSC for parameter syncmodes

How do I address the parameter specific syncmodes (eg. linking scale to Timeline, or BPM)

For example, if I want Position X of a layer to be controlled via BPM Sync, and to play in 4 beats, how do I do that?

(I'm talking about the options in the downward-pointing arrow next to the parameter name)

I've tried this: /layer1/video/positionx/syncmode 1 - but it does not seem to work

For setting the beats, /layer1/video/positionx/linkmultiplier f seems to work, where f is the BPM scaled by some mysterious factor (I will figure this out...). The playmode and direction stuff works as well.
