freeframe knowhow

Will some bright spark please explain, in simple terms, how to get the freeframes business going on.
I've got the names of effects in my generator bit but they have no effect on my clips.

I hear such wonderful things about it on this site and I'm seething with jealosy!

Have you move the opacity sliders for the effects off zero?

Each effect has an opacity slider that mixes the original clip with the effected version. If the slider is at zero then you will only get the original clip.

Umm, I'm afraid it's not that simple.
After dragging the effect onto the clip it doesn't admit it's had an effect at all and right clicking just brings up the normal clip menu.

Anything else to try?

in the generator menu
i see the freeframe source
menu with live feed 1 and 2
is this the same as caputre device
iguess i dont undrstand there use

did you get the latest plugins from pete warden's site...maybe you still have the old plugins...?

All i seemed to get was the names of the effects in the generators list. Draggin them onto the clip has no effect whatsoever.

I'll have another go at downloading them from pete's site and let you know.
