3.1 Instability Fixed, Need More Beta Testers Before Release

Post by bart »

Pffeww that was a stressful week at Resolume HQ ;-) But we found the bugs that caused instability for some users. Thankfully not everybody was affected by this bug and version 3.1 ran stable for a lot of you. To be on the safe side we would like to do a bit more testing before we release update version 3.1.1. So if you are experiencing a lot of crashes or slow Flash performance with version 3.1 then please email us and we'll give you a beta version. Please only email us if you have time to test this version and report back to us.

UPDATE: We received more than enough emails in a couple of hours so beta testing is now closed. Thank you all! Release coming soon if nothing unexpected comes up.

I am very interested in beta testing your software.
I am going on a UK tour in October showing visuals w/ the band 'Bowling For Soup', and am currently seeking a new vj platform. I'm pretty sure Resolume is the way!
Also, I am starting a VJ program (workshops and seminars) starting in November at SAE, Los Angeles and I was told that Resolume is involved with the new VJ program in Amsterdam.
THANKS!

Hi, I am a professional video editor with 10+years FCP and the misfortune of Avid before that.

I would like to be a beta tester for Resolume as I have been using it for many years to create a quick layered composition when I need 'spackle'.

My system is a 2 x 2.66 Dual Core Intel Xeon MacPro 'Cheesegrator' running 10.6 with 4gb667ddr2 ram and 4 hitachi 750g drives. As well as a Radeon X 1900 video card I figure it would make a nice Baseline mac to test with as I am more then willing to put Resoulume through its paces and report back detailed notes of what I find.

So far, v3.1 seems to hate H.264 or any audio other then wav. but the UI Rocks! Also the DXV codec is taking longer to process a 30second Prorez then it takes me to crank out an 8min music video to H.264@1080:60.

Defiantly on the right track but it would seem that the codecs need tweaked just a hair.

-Cheers!
