Hello there
I've a question for you. I'm working on a theatre performance and we've some video made in wide HD quality.
I've tryied to import them in Resolume but i found out that it doesnt like them much. I read i've to transform them using DXV codec .
Could you please tell me if what I'm doing in the right thing?
1) Export clip from Final Cut PRO using DXV codec with size 1280x720 (not interlaced)
2) import clip in resolume and use it
My problem is that i'm not sure about settings to use in FC to be sure that clip will be in HQ and in right size.
My another problem is the following:
I need to pilot 3 videoprojectors with 3 different clips on each (some of them on same time)
How i've to do it? I'm buying 3head to go card but i still dont understend how to set Resolume to tell him that clip#1 has to go on video #3 and clip#2 has to go on video#2
Hope to get a help from you
Thx
p.s. sorry for my poor english
Codec and 3 video projectors
Re: Codec and 3 video projectors
in avenue you set the size of your composition, then on the layer settings tab , you can define a pan / zoom setting that will effect all clips launched on that layer.
so as long as the clip size are set to be 1/3rd of the layer width ( which can also be set via the layer settings ) and the layer pan settings are adjusted so that the triggered clip falls into the correct 1/3rd of the composition, they will align with the correct projector.

Re: Codec and 3 video projectors
Thank you,
I've finally understood how to manage 3 projectors.
Could you also ask your help to convert HD clips into clips Resolume can use?
As i've already said i'm using FC to try this conversion but what makes me think is that a 3.03" clips takes almost 4 hours to be converted using DXV codec.
Is it possible? Or i'm just doing smt wrong?
Another question is:
If my clips are 1200x720 size and i've to use 3 of them i should create my composition 3600x720? I hope it's not so cause i've tryed and my computer was ready to die.
Thx
p.s. i've macbook pro 2.66 Mhz
