If you load a composition all output is stopped, because it's loading a new project file. You should work with multiple decks in a composition, you can switch decks without stopping your video (we are working in improvements right now to make the switching of decks more fluent).
If you do want to load different compositions you should have another device like a camera or DVD player that you can use for a signal and switch back to Resolume once it loaded a new composition.
