Video on Macbook pro won't start

Hi,
I want to use Resolume Avenue 3.1.2 for a theater show in april next year. So I am trying to get acquainted with it. I tested it on a Mac Pro and it works perfectly. Now I am shifting towards a brand new Macbook Pro with Mac OS X 10.6.1 and I found that the video's load but don't start when clicked. Even the demo video's don't start. Only when I load them directly from the finder (presumably without the audio) they work correctly (but of course no sound). I performed a test with OpenGL extensions viewer and all test are successful except for test 3.0 (status $282.
Anybody any suggestions? Thx

When you set a video only clip to timeline mode instead of BPM Sync does it then play?

Not sure... but is it possible that your audio interface is not active/selected ??
Is it running when you select a videoclip without audio on "timeline" mode?

I had similar problems on my PC when I had the democlips with audio in my deck.
The clips with audio will be BPM synced by default, but the BPM is not working/running when there's no correct audiointerface selected...
In my experience: The clips try to start but there is no BPM, so they wait for the first beat... The moment you select an interface (Asio or other audiodriver) everything starts to move...

When the clip is set to timeline and I click on it the first frame is shown in the composite (so there is a change) but it still won't play. On BPMsync I just get a yellow bar. It looks like its waiting indeed for sound sync. Are there any audio settings I need to adjust?
Indeed the videos withouth audio are working correct.

On the Audio tab of the Preferences you can double check if a sound card is selected.
