hi,
i am very new to resolume and playin around with the demo.
is it somehow possible to use a black/white video clip as a layer mask or alpha for another layer?
check out my illustration, i'd like to be able to change layer1 and layer2 on the fly with the mask-movie always applied. is that possible?
thanks for the info

Re: alpha movie mask
I would love this. I used to be able to do it with some other software, and have always missed this capability in Resolume.
Re: alpha movie mask
I managed to do it with resolume 2, a few years ago, using luma key and darken...here, due to the layer paradigm I cant find the way....
Ideas anyone?
I have a gig next tuesday, and I am thinking of buying resolume, it´s great, but I do NEED this...
Thanks!!!

Re: alpha movie mask
It is indeed not possible to use a movie as a mask In Resolume 3.1. Only still images can be applied as a mask.
Re: alpha movie mask
Hello Bart,
Thanks for your answer. Could I do that with an image mask? Meaning a b&w mask, or a mask with alpha transparency, shooting a clip on the white zone (or transparent) and another on the black one?
That would do for me right now...
Thanks!

Yes you can apply a blck and white image as a mask to a clip, layer and the entire composition.
