I still use 2.41 version. I like R3, but i still find some problems and missing features:
- When I play a clip in ping-pong mode whith 1 beat, it oftens bypass the ping-pong mode and starts doing loop mode for a while
- When I switch between decks, framerate dops down drastically and video out screen blinks for almost 10 seconds (this is the principal reason for why i still don´t use r3 ).
- I miss the clip to snap between in/out points by bpm control. I use it on 2.41 to switch between two layers following bpm. Also I use it in some effects controls.
- I need some glow effect. Also I miss the wave freeframe effect.
- When I assing "resync" to a midi button, it works only for one time.
BTW, resolume3 rocks! I would love to see that solved to use it everyday!
Some problems / features request
Re: Some problems / features request
there is a solution to this coming soon from an FFGL plugin progrmming friend of mine. it works well but we are just giving it a good test before release.visions wrote: - I miss the clip to snap between in/out points by bpm control. I use it on 2.41 to switch between two layers following bpm.

Confirmed. We'll make a ticket for it. Thanks for the find.- When I play a clip in ping-pong mode whith 1 beat, it oftens bypass the ping-pong mode and starts doing loop mode for a while
Making the switch between decks faster is our top priority at the moment. Make sure you always have the latest version installed to take full advantage of any improvements we implement in this department.- When I switch between decks, framerate dops down drastically and video out screen blinks for almost 10 seconds (this is the principal reason for why i still don´t use r3 ).
Thanks for the suggestion. We'll look into it, and keep your eyes peeled for that FFGL plugin!- I miss the clip to snap between in/out points by bpm control. I use it on 2.41 to switch between two layers following bpm. Also I use it in some effects controls.
A relatively cheap glow can be achieved by using a blur effect set to 50% opacity in Add blending mode. I'm not too famliar with the wave freeframe effect, but maybe ripples is to your liking?- I need some glow effect. Also I miss the wave freeframe effect.
What midi controller are you using? We've had similar reports from people using 'cheaper' controllers such as Behringers or Korg Nanos.- When I assing "resync" to a midi button, it works only for one time.
Thanks a lot for the feedback and suggestions. It's great to hear how people are enjoying Avenue and what they're still missing.

Just for the record: I use Korg NanoPad and NanoKeys - both work fine for resyncing on windowsXP. With Korg drivers as with the windows standard drivers. On both of my computers.goto10 wrote: What midi controller are you using? We've had similar reports from people using 'cheaper' controllers such as Behringers or Korg Nanos.
Concerning the fast deck switches - yeah, really needed!
Here I want to add: some MIDI way to navigate through your material would be great. Like:
A rotary cc for vertical scrolling through a deck + the first column in the view than should be triggered with the button for the first clip. And a rotary for scrolling through the decks would be fine too!
(Maybe I should open a new thread for the clip-triggering topic?)
And again thanks for this great, great tool!!
