Freezing output when changing clips

Hello,

my avenue is running on a WIN7 64bit machine with following hardware specs:

intel core duo T9400 2,53 Mhz / 4Gb Ram
Nvidia Quadro FX 770M

My footage comes from a 1TB eSata WD myBook Studio external Harddrive. The clips i use are rendered in 1024x576px with the DXV codec. In my composition i have 4 layers with different blendmodes and effects running stable at about 60fps. Sometimes when i put a different clip from my deck in one of the layer outputs the fps drops siginificantly and the picture somehow freezes for a short period of time. After that everythings just like nothing ever happened. Due to the "deck switching issues" in avenue i built one big deck with 93clips * 4 layers.

Is anybody out there who can tell me whats the problem or how i can fix it.

Solved the problem with a eSata SSD .....
