Re: The Video card message
Hey Ikyut
I assume you have the latest drivers installed for the OS that you want to boot in (www.omegadrivers.net)?
Does Avenue refuse to start, or are there specific functions that do not work for you? Is there a reason you don't want to work with Vista? Can you send us the log files (PC: C:/Documents and Settings/[username]/Application Data/Resolume/Resolume Avenue 3 log.txt) so we have a better idea what's going on?

Re: The Video card message
i have a similar problem, i was able to run avenue 3.1.3, but thought i'd get the performace boost from the omega drivers, now avenue refuses to load saying my graphics card doesn't meet the specs required of the program.
sure kinda strange it says that now rather than when i first installed it a few months ago.
XP
2.4 duo
4gbram
radeon mobility hd 2600.
i suppose a new video card is required.
what a bother.

edit: actually ater looking at the FAQ i see that my vid card should be able to handle it.
thats why its always worked without the omega drivers.
it just makes the video slow down/stop when changing decks. would a better vid card solve this?
maybe a better HDD?
I'm stumped, and i don't want to go buying new hardware if its not even needed yet.
Really wish i could make avenue work for me, i'm not even pushing it hard

Hey Krycheck
The bottleneck in the slowdowns during deck switching is indeed the HDD. In Avenue 3.1.3 deck switching is significantly improved however. If you are still looking for higher framerates during deck switching, it may be worth considering a faster RPM drive and/or a higher bandwidth connection.

Mi drivers are fine!!! Resolume 2.4 runs awesome.
I look for the log file, but I còuldn`t find it, i mean, there is no resolume avenue folder on aplication data.
The point I do not want to run the avenue on vista it`s because, my midi controllers and soundcard, are not vista ready, but on xp, the program opens, i can see it, but, this small window appears imediatelly and i can not do nothing, when I close the window the avenue closes too...
This is very disapointing, sorry for my rusty english....
thanks in advance i can make some screenshot if they could help!!!!

Hey Ikyut
Thanks for your post (and message
). The log file is there, it's just that Program Files usually is a hidden folder.
Unfortunately, without it, there's not a whole lot we can say about your problem. The log file tells us vital information about your system specs, and which components are loading correctly, and which ones may be causing trouble.
From the top of my head, the best advice is to start Avenue in a 'bare-bones' setup, meaning to disconnect any additional hardware (soundcards, midi controllers) you may have connected, quitting all other apps, and uninstalling any possibly interfering drivers or codec packs. My first hunch is that it's the soundcard, btw.
