Trigger finger problem on Vista??

Post by ger101 »

Does anyone know if Trigger Finger works with Resolume 2.3 on Vista??
Its working fine for a few minutes then it just stops reacting until I load it up again.........
Is this a problem with vista or the m-audio drivers or resolume itself?????? I cant figure it out at all :x

Hi,

It seems that I have the same problem. Just bought Triggerfinger and connected it to my notebook
running Vista 64bit. I run Live Ableton. Everything works fine when I press buttons on Triggerfinger
but when I do nothing after some minutes the USB-connection gets lost.
I already turned off powersaveing, hybernate sleep mode, WiFi, Bluetooth and so on but
nothing helps. I think it would be good if you send your problems also to the support of m-audio.

regards, Leopold

Hey Qubit23

Do you have the same problem when you run Ableton Live without Resolume running at the same time?

Hi,

I dont know Resoulume but I had the problem with Triggerfinger with Libe Ableton and MIDI-OX.
MIDI-OX seems to be nice for debugging at least you can see the messages comming from Triggerfinger.
I fixed the problem today. I found a hint in some m-audio forum form 2008 that there might be a
power problem with triggerfinger. So I bought a powered USB-hub and connected it.
Voila it works without problems. For me it looks like triggerfinger does not go with the
USB specification and needs more power fro the Interface.
I dont have a power supply for triggerfinger. This also might help but I found a message in the internet
that this does not help.

much luck,
