BUG whith atoumating midi
Postby joffo on Wed Jan 27, 2010 10:36
Hi everybody
For a show i had to play video which started with animate movie and finsh whith a still picture until a new cues (antother animated movie) which started with the same picture . this movies had sound which was played in ableton live beacause i have to control there with accurate (multitracks, mixing in differents output).
So i decided to make scenes into ableton live whith 1 or several audio tracks, 1 midi track for each audio track (to control there own level by midi yoke 1), and one midi track whith a midi note by column (by midi yoke 2) to play video in resolume. each column contain in the first layer the movie in one shot (for example a video which start by plane taking off and finishing by the sky). In the second layer i put a still picture of the sky (the same than the last frame of my video) the second column i put of my first layer a video whith a landing starting whith the same picture of the sky. So i can play a video, keep the pause on a still picture and start a new video when i need it.
my problem is when i play video by clicking on a column it works, but when i'm doing thru live (in midi) before playing the video resolume display shortly a frame of this video (it's never the same it's appear randomly).
I work on a pc toschiba P300 p7 whith windows vista , resolume 3.13 and my files are in MXV codec.
could you say me if anyone constat the same bug or if you know another issus to make it.
Excuse for my english.
Regards.

problem with automating midi triggering
Re: problem with automating midi triggering
Hey Joffo
Although this has nothing to do with the midi bug you're reporting, why don't you simply stop and start a clip that contains all the subclips you're now triggering? I may be totally misinterpreting what you're trying to do, but to me it sounds like a viable alternative.
Regarding the midi bug, can you confirm that there are no previous midi mappings in your project on either the application or composition level?
