hey guys help! I'm doing visuals for a live dance show tonight where I'm feeding a dv cam (panasonic nv-gs200) into my macbook pro via firewire (400 to 600 to 900 conversion:( no other options at the moment) int RA 3.1.3. I can load the camera no problem, there's a slight delay but in this case that's not a problem either. I just select the cam in the sources and play when I need it.
The problem starts when the camera gets switched off, because then resolume stops reading the cam and I have to completely get it into the program again, including adding effects, midi mapping and scaling, until the next time the camera switches off. So basically I have to keep the camera on during the whole performance. This isn't a big deal, but I'm just worried that if the camera gets turned on accidentally during the gig I'll have to reboot the son of a bitch completely while performing, and that's just no fun...

Hey Tristan
Unfortunately, this happens with most firewire devices at the moment. We're looking into how to best solve this, but at the moment we can't help you.
If you save your composition before losing the camera, it should have all the mappings and effects next time you launch.
Hope that helps.
