WMV to DXV?

Hey all,

I'm having a lot of trouble getting HD WMVs to convert to DXV without tons of steps (and, I think, quality loss). I usually have to go to AVI, then open with Quicktime Pro to convert to DXV. I've tried Leawo to go to Quicktime directly but it's not high quality and I can't use the DXV codec, so I still have to use Quicktime and export again. Does anyone have any tips? Batch processing would be great, but anything will do! Freeware is obviously preferable, but I'm willing to pay some for a good program.

(Side note: I'm thinking of getting some of the Adobe Suite programs. Would those work?)

I like MPEG Streamclip a lot (http://www.squared5.net). Free, and has batch conversion. Don't know how it handles WMVs though.
