DXV Codec doesn't show up !

Post by asnothingelse »

Hi guys,
i'm using Avenue 3.0.0 and I installed the DXV Codec to render mov clips.

The problem is that I can't see it in any of my quicktime supporting applications like AVS Video Converter, Mpeg StremClip or Premiere !

I also keep installed the K-lite Mega Codec Pack, could it be a conflict between them ?

Thank you

you should have quicktime installed to the default location... otherwise there seem to be problems...
the codec pack also can cause problems but what kind of i can't say!

I made it works ! thanks

Simply I re-installed the codec and now it shows up both in Mpeg StreamClip and in Premiere, but not in AVS.

I tried to render some clips by the DXV and it worked ! Those clips were originally mov files encoded by Sorenson or H.264. Now they're bigger ! One of them was 130 Mb heavy in origin and now it's over 300 Mb !
I'm not worried as they will go better in Resolume..

Another thing I've noticed is that VLC doesn't load these DXV encoded files. Even if it's not necessary, is there any way to make it load them ?

Finally, i tried to load the new clips in Avenue and I realized at once how they run better ! The framerate is strongly improved !
thanks a lot
