Hi folks,
I'm quite newbie in performing with Resolume 3, specifically 3.1.1 version now, and I got some issues around.
When I upgraded from the 3.0.0 version I noticed more stability indeed but...
..yesterday I did the longer gig since I got the 3.1.1, about 5-6 hours in which I encountered 2-3 crashes for the whole.
I explain them in particular:
- 2 times Resolume started to confuse my MIDI mapping so that, when I moved one knob of my controller, it moved three fades together or similar, without any reasons! In addiction Resolume didn't get other midi inputs correctly. I solved by re-opening the program.
I was quickly rotating the knobs of my controller together and switching various effetcs by it, when the crash came.
- another time a clip suddently stopped playing ! it was running in the composition and then stop, like I would have paused it by the Transport controls !. I solved by deleting it from the composition and reloading it again into.
So, 3.1.1 never crashed by itself (the classic Windows message, this program has stopped working etc...), but it did quite the same by losing MIDI and going crazy with it, forcing me to exit the program and reload it.
In my compositions I use now all DXV encoded clips in 720x576 PAL resolution, about 80 clips running together in about 30-40 columns (3 layers mixed together). By using all dxv clips I got a wonderful framerate improving!
At the end, should I think that this behaviour is normal, that some crashes like them are expected, or not, and there's something I can do to improve the reliability of Resolume?
thank u !

Why not 3.1.3 ? - many bugs have been fixed since 3.1.1

Re: Resolume 3.1.1 reliability
Yes, of course I should consider the upgrade to 3.1.3. I was simply figuring out if 3.1.1 can be improved.
