I'm getting pretty terrible playback on my new 2.93 Ghz Macbook Pro 17 inch with Resolume 3.
I've never used the program before so I'm not sure how fast it should be, but I'm running one single video layer in 720x576 with the DXV codec and it is extremely choppy. When I look at the activity monitor (with just Avenue open) it is using up over 50% of the CPU just to play one video layer; is this normal?
I even went and checked the box to disable global effects which said it could speed it up, which had no noticeable effect. I'm really worried because I have a performance on Thursday and would really appreciate any help!

This should definitely not be the case. Does the same happen when playing the files included with the demo? Could you check the FPS that Avenue is giving, so we have a better idea of how 'terrible' the playback is?
