Multiple Keystones on Layer or File?

Post by ScamOne »

I am hoping that there is a way to add multiple keystone effects to a single layer...

When I do this it crops the video - then the 2nd effect crops the cropped video.

Is it possible to add multiple effects to a single layer and have each one crop out the main video? So for example I could have 2 triangle shapes on either side

Is there a way in the current program to do this or a reasonable workaround? I am very interested in using this program to map the projection onto stage sets but I don't want to have to duplicate layers when I want the same video in 2 or more places. Thanks!

you can also put effects on layers and composition.
i use the iterate effect as workaround for positioning and scaling (working with the first rotation and translate xyz parameters and if not needed "none" extra iteration), in combination with flip or a second iterate effect (with add mode @ 50% for example) on clip or layer, you should get your output what you want!

hope this is clear so far and helps!

That kind of works. I can see that method being useful but I would really like to have the video file cropped out at 2 points (or more).

Looking at the Resolume banner graphic - they have 9 rectangles that appear to crop out various sections of the same video file - I know I can just do this with a mask - but I was hoping there was something in the software that does this as well. I don't want to have to create mask files for each set up or venue I am in.

Am I missing a feature somewhere?
