FPS performance?

Post by djdiego71 »

Hello, this is my system used for multiple screens:
Pc Intel Core I5 750 (quad core 2.66 ghz 8mb cache) + Asus P7P55-LX + 1Tb hardisk + 4gb Ddr3 1800 + GeForce XFX 9500GT 1GB & GeForce 9400GT.
The avenue is configured as well: composition: 2400x600, three outputs at 800@600,
screen 1: only with one layer for 19" LCD @ bars (price list) only flash based content.
screen 2: three layers (Text, Live Camera & Backgrounds) for wide projectors.
screen 3: one layer, only backgrounds (avi, movs or flash) for 32" LCDs @ DJ Stage.

Sometimes use two or three effects on background & text layers @ screen 2, then perfromance drop too.

The performance is good but not excelent, some hevy flash content slow down framerate, but for now is well and the cheap usb capture card not was the best (not have a fluid performance) but is the only works on my system & avenue.
In the future may be change the two GPU...

...any suggestions?

New info: after upgrade video cards drivers, preformance droped some more....

Every active layer drop 5 fps:
1 active layer: 30 FPS
2 active layers: 25 FPS
3 active layers: 20 FPS
4 active layers: 15 FPS
5 active layers: 10 FPS

first, the main graphic card is't the fastest, not faster than a good macbook pro!
which codec do you use?
dxv would be recommed in higher resolutions!
MainSys: Z77 UP5,3570K,32GB Ram,GTX 285, M3 128GB,4x3TB R5@LSI9750
VJSys 1: 990FX UD5,X6 1045T,16GB Ram,GTX970+610+610,M3 128GB,3x1TB R0
MBP 3.1; Schenker A102 (650m) & P702 (675m)

I use many codecs, but not much video clips, much more flash content.
Some vids with mjpg, others mpeg1, H.264, and DXV too, but perfromance drop anyway, using only flash content yet.
