For masking we would like to enable the user in the future wether the mask is pre or post compositing and effects. This way a mask can be applied after the clip is scaled, rotated etc or before.
Would that be sufficient in your opinion, or do you have another suggestion?

yes this looks good! but not only the masks, also the layer effects don't get procecced after the clip effects...
would be also nice to enable this on the layer effects too, so you have all possibilities for working
