Hi VJsynC,

I think I have ruled out that the HD is an issue. It really seems to only be a problem when the second monitor is on. I reformatted my SSD that was getting really slow due to being too full, its only 1/3 full now, and the read/write is better again. However resolume still is behaving bad.

Perhaps you can do a test to confirm we having a similar issue. open up your "Activity Monitor" and see how much CPU usage resolume uses when you have one clip playing. Then turn on your second monitor and see what happens. You would expect a small CPU increase, but for me I get about 20-30% decrease from 70% to 40% cpu usage. Its then that my interface gets slow a laggy, not surprising if its trying to do more with less horse power. not sure if its the lame ATI RadeonX1600 graphics card that I am using in this old Macbook Pro or if its an OS X issue.

I did a test with windows using bootcamp, and I didn't have any slowdown problem when the second montior was on, however there were screen would glitch and flash every few seconds when running resolume in windows. So maybe it is a driver / video card issue.

the resolume team has acknowledged my issue and opened a ticket to try to get it solved, maybe we will see some improvement in the 3.3 update.

I wonder if it got worse in an update, Maybe I should test. version 3.0

Any diagnostic help would be much appreciated.

sleepytom, I am running a clean install of Snow Leopard. No upgrade. Although it has been a while since I did the install, maybe time for fresh install. I also have no background apps running. I have even tryed turning off time machine and other things. It really seems to be with the second monitor. What kind of graphics card are you using in your setup?
