My old laptop on which I used resolume 2 just died and I have a gig in Shangahai on Thursday (Expo)... Today I bought laptop HP Pavilion dv7-2230eg :
Microprocessor 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor P8700
Microprocessor Cache 3 MB Level 2 cache
Memory 4096 (2 x 2048 MB)
Video Graphics ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650
Video Memory Up to 2815 MB (1 GB dedicated)
Hard Drive 640 GB (2 x 320 GB) (7200 rpm)
and new ressolume 3. The LED display on concert will be 6m x 4.5m Since now I was working with 640 x 480 res and it worked nice.
With new laptop and new resolume I am lost. Anyone have an idea what is the max res I can play with...
Thanks a lot for help.

Re: MAX RESOLUTION?!
i presume goto10 meant 4096*4096 pixels, but im not sureRegarding the moving of the clip, Avenue uses the texture limit of 4096 pixels.

Re: MAX RESOLUTION?!
I am sorry I wasn't clear... I wonder what is max res that will still play three layers with some effects on at the same time without jerking in stoping video output...
thnx

Re: MAX RESOLUTION?!
The max resolution really depends on what kind of machine you have and the type of footage. The best thing is to render some clips to different resolutions and see how far you can push your machine. Using the DXV codec will give you best results.
