How are MIDI mapping preferences saved?

Is there a way to permanently save the MIDI mapping preferences so they will fire up EVERY time I launch Resolume, or do I have to redo the MIDI mapping settings every time I launch the program?

Right now, the saving of mapping preferences is inconsistent for me -- somethimes they're saved on relaunch, sometimes they're not. This drives me nuts -- I'll spend an hour or more assigning Resolume actions to MIDI controls only to discover that the settings have vanished after I've shutdown the program and restarted it.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

resolume saves the midi setting when you close resolume ... if that does wrong we need to look at it to see if there might be any bugz ...

Your midi and shortcut configs are in two files named shorts.fff and userprefs.fff ( or something very similar ). If your midi config is correctly saved on resolume shut down, you can backup these two files. You load resolume again. If your config is gone, try replacing the new files with the backup ones.

I don't know how much MIDI you know. I have almost no idea of MIDI and computer music and I had a lot of trouble configuring my keyboard because I was sending MIDI data with different channel and octave settings.

you know i brought this problem up a looong time ago.. its the only big bug ive found and its across several platforms and systems.. at best resolume seems to loose midi config files after a bit.. some computers it works better than others.. the new version seems to help a lot but it still happens now and then.
