Free AVI Converter that can use the DXV codec

I'm looking for a freeware that will convert multiple formats to AVI using the DXV codec for use in Resolume.

I've tried Virtualdub, RAD Video and Streamclip, but they all seem to have a fixed menu of codecs with no way that I can see to import the DXV codec algo (no codec folder within the program folder).

Any ideas? Or is it case of compressing to a codec that Resolume is okay with, loading in Resolume and then resaving using DXV?

DXV is a Quicktime codec, so you can't make an .avi with DXV compression. If you choose .mov as your output format, DXV should pop up as part of the compression types.

You have to actually re-encode the files in order to have the benefit of DXV. Loading them in Resolume and then saving will not work.

So, I've just tried reformatting an MP4 to MOV in both Streamclip and the Livid Batch Export Utility that VJair recommended (thanks for that) - no problems converting, but I still can't see DXV amongst the listed compression codecs in either program. Do I need to manually place a DXV plugin within the respective converters program file, or install a DXV driver or something?

How important is it to use DXV compression? Should I just forget about it and use the video files as is - if so which formats are best AVI, MOV?

EDIT: I ran a separate install of the DXV codec and it now shows up in Livid Batch Export.

I've worked it out now thanks VJair (I ran a separate install of the DXV codec and it's now listed as a compression type when converting to .mov).

Another related problem - I've succesfully used Streamclip to convert one MPEG4 to MOV (with DXV compression), but it refuses to convert all of my other MPEGs - I can view them within Streamclip as MPEGs, but when I attempt to convert to MOV I get an 'Error: can't prepare the movie' message.

Using LIvid Batch Convert, again I can only convert that one MPEG4 file - when trying a batch conversion on the folder containing my MPEGs it just ignores 6 out of the 7 in there.

I've tried Virtual Dub, but it doesn't seem to recognize any of the MPEGs or MOVs I have.

Are there any other (free) programs which will convert MPEG4 to MOV?

On OS X we use QTAmateur for batch processing to MOV with DXV. It's old but it's simple, free and it just works
