Super-cheap visual mixer/fader?

Post by projectile »

Hi

I've only ever used one pc with resolume running, but I'd like to have something that I can plug a camera and maybe another laptop into. But as I've been out of the scene and am not looking to make any money, I wanna keep it below £80 or so... I really just need something I can plug a few things into with one output. Even better would be the ability to fade between them.

And ideas/suggestions/links would be very much appreciated.

Also I'd love to be able to roam with a wirelessly attached camera, any suggestions on that would be awesome too.

Cheers

*EDIT* in case you think i'm completely mad expecting a new, modern one for that price... i'm after a second hand one most likely from the 80's.

£80 is a VERY small budget!

look around for old panasonic models like the ave-5 / ave-55 or maybe an MX-1.... you will probably need between £100 and £150 though and they will only offer very basic A-B fading, no proper keying or anything like that.

I think if you just need to switch things get far cheaper - there are quite a few boxes that do just that in a variety of formats.

That Citronic books looks interesting though!
