HDMI output

Post by technoduud »

Hello,

Can anybody tell me if Resolume works with a laptop wich has only an HDMI output...
I got sponsored by a computer manufacturer and they will send me two state of the art 'gaming laptops'.

  • Intel® Core™i7-740QM processor
    (1.73 GHz, 6 MB Intel® Smart Cache, Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology)
    NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX460M DirectX® 11 graphics
with 1536 MB GDDR5 memory and digital HDMI Audio/Video out
Up to 640 GB S-ATA hard disk
Integrated second HDD-slot (I'm gonna put in SSD drives)
    12 GB DDR3 SDRAM memory

If Resolume works with HDMI out, I will buy a HDMI to S-video/BNC converter.
Anybody tried this before...?

Thanks,

Joris

I work with several output possibilities...
Most of the times I plug into a video matrix, wich is linked to a Edirol or other video mixer.
This way I can also send my output to other devices at the same time, like a LED-screen system and a internet Livestream. In other cases I directly plug into the video mixer. All of the equipment is BNC/Coax based..!
I don't work with HDMI or VGA cables, because in a big event we are most likely on stage or in the lightjockey booth.

Since the laptops are sponsored (they will be delivered end of sept.) I can't change the config of the hardware...
We have to work with the HDMI output, send it to a converter and than I can use it on the above systems.
Do you have any experience with HDMI to S-video/BNC converters...?
