Crashing on recording

Post by John McGeoch »

I`m getting a full Resolume crash every time after about a minute of recording. Is anyone else getting this problem? Any likely causes. Also on my wish list is an option to render out the recording as the live recording has glitches as well as crashing at the moment. Resolume is a great tool for producing clips and even though the current way of doing it is great for live work for pre-production it would give smoother results if it could be rendere instead of live recorded. there are a lot of theads of this subject : search around

usally it's a memory problem, what size compositions are you trying to record?? how much ram do you have???

some people have tryed other software or hardware to record 720P Avenue output, i(ve had some results with Fraps, but it's not perfect yet.

it's can also be a problem if you record your output to the same disk your clips are on, disk speed will not keep up.

just some first hand info, sure others have much to say
desktop: Windows 7 64bit , i7 920 2.66Ghz, 12Gb Ram, GTX 950 2Go, WD Velociraptor 300Go, terratec asio phase 26 usb soundcard & midi,Novation Nocturn controlpad, Akai MPK mini, and soon to come : BCR 2000 :))

Thanks, I`ll try to another disk although the system disc is an SSD disk ( as is the resolume record folder ). I have 6gb of Ram so that shouldn`t be a problem. I know that I didn`t have the problem with my previos XP laptop with only 2gb ram and an early resolume 3 - cheers JMcG
