high cpu usage / XP 64 bit

new user here - actually just a trial - but having installed Resolume 2.41 I discover that CPU usage is around 50% while idling. No files are loaded and all other unnecessary processes have been killed. This is happening on a full system reset also.
I am running a Core-2-Duo system - lotsa ram - good NVidia card
But it is Win XP 64bit OS -
?? is this normal cpu usage - if not - is it because Resolume will not run on 64 bit systems ?

Resolume behaves like a game, it always uses the full power of the Cpu. its not able to use dual-core, so it uses 100% of one cores. Its no bug or a 64-Bit Problem.

so thanks for that - I finally had a chance today to load it on a 32 bit machine and noticed the same thing
just wanted to be sure
but it still makes me wonder what the hell it is doing when I have given it nothing to process

I knmow its an old thread, but I have the same Problem with one of my Laptop..

Dont tell me its OK that the CPU behaves like that, because I tested it on quite the same System , same brand , a very little bit older and slower, but here it doesnt happen. When Resolume is IDle its using only 4%- 14%.

So any ideas? Hardware "seem" to be OK! I did some tests, but NOT 100% sure......

Im not sure what happend now. I really doppel and tripple check the "thing" with the 100% usage when I start resolume. Now I changes the Ram and Back and now I see on my second Laptop as well the usage of 100% when reolume is doing nothing.....

Im getting crazy!
