Hi
I have searched around this forum and elsewhere but still haven't been able to work out how to sync the BPM from Traktor Pro with Resolume.
I have enabled 'Send Midi Clock' in Traktor Pro and in Resolume Preferences 'Traktor Virtual Output' is showing in the Midi Tab, with 'Midi Input' and 'Clock Input' selectable. I have tried selecting both, but still the BPM in Resolume stays at 120, when I would like it to adjust to the BPM of whichever track is playing in Traktor Pro.
Can anyone help me out with this?
Thanks
Nick

Re: How do I sync Traktor Pro BPM with Resolume?
I just tried it and works as expected. I got "Send MIDI Clock" activated and in the controller setup I set generic MIDI to output on port "MIDI Yoke 8" but "Traktor Virtual Port" is nothing different from that. I just don't have that port in the list. Why? I don't know.
Then I activated "clock input" in Avenue's preferences on port "MIDI Yoke 8" and voilà Avenue instantly has a flickering BPM displayed. Sorry, I think I can't help.
By the way: what system are you on?

I'm on Mac OSX 10.6.

As Tschoepler mentions, that *should* work. Do you have any other midi devices with clock input enabled?

No, no other devices enabled.
I read somewhere that I need to create a new device in Traktor Controller Manager to get this working, and then add a new outward message. I did this, but couldn't get it working, so deleted this new device.
Like I said the Traktor Virtual Output is still showing up in Resolume, so I presume this means that I don't need to set up a new device, but rather just check the option to Send Midi Clock in Traktor.
I am led to believe, from reading on a forum somewhere, that it is possible to do what I am trying to do fairly simply on the Mac (though unfortunately there were no instructions included) but I am still rather confused!

Re: How do I sync Traktor Pro BPM with Resolume?
Ah, yes, the old picture trick. I hadn't selected the play/pause button under MIDI CLOCK panel in Traktor. When I did this, checked 'Send Midi Clock' in Traktor preferences, then added a device without any assignments, but with out-port 'Traktor Virtual Output', then refreshed Midi Devices in Resolume and selected 'Clock Input' from Traktor Virtual Output all worked fine, so thanks very much for those pictures!
I have just one more question. If I crossfade to a track on Deck B the Midi Clock (Tempo) doesn't change until the track on Deck A has completely finished playing, which is not ideal if I crossfade some time before the end of a track A. Is there a way of somehow linking the Midi Clock to the crossfader??
Thanks

aaah nice, the picture did the job.
I rarely use Traktor. it's in trial mode for developing and testing purposes.
but I think this has to do with the way Traktor sets the deck master.
I'm sure you will find some more information on that inside the manual.
