Transparency issue

Post by ComeDaFact »

Hello every one,

I am having trouble working with alpha channels on resolume 3.3.1 with windows 7.

I have several clips that contains a specific region of a human face : eyes, mouth. so every clip is trimmed to that region, and the rest is supposed to be transparent. It worked fine on the mac, but it does not on windows : I have the regions of inferior layers (mouth for example) staying blank no matter what. it seems to me that the part that is supposed to be transparent is taken as white, and overlaps the inferior layers. Therefore I only get to see the inferior layers by turning the upper layers' alpha down...

my clips are .mov files with alpha channel. All my layers are set to the alpha blending mode.
Any suggestions about how to figure this out? Any help would be really appreciated...

Thanks!!

I am using the DXV codec that came with Avenue 3.3.1 installer. So I believe it to be version 2.1.1.

Hmmm. And you had alpha set to preserve while rendering? Which app did you use to render? Could you send us (a part of) one of the files (support-at-resolume-dot-com)?
