hey guys
still got a problem with latest resolume avenue.
midi clock sent from seperate computer running ableton through a mpd24 then through usb midi adapter and in to resolume avenue on my laptop.
all input outputs are fine and correctly selected, its just the midi clock from ableton sends the bpm erratic as hell, although its somewhat still recieving midi clock at the correct tempo, and things stay in beat from start to finish its just the bpm thats running all over the place, and this causes slight shifts between the 1st and 4th beat in a bar. sorry this may be quite confusing to understand..
this was also the case whenconnecting these computers via ethernet, although the first time we tried it a month or so ago it was perfect via ethernet + IAC driver (also tried IPmidi), then the day of an av performance it started doing the erratic bpm.
after everything i've tried i've come to the conclusion that it has to be resolume thats the problem, and there is still a bug with recieving midi clock.
is anyone else getting the same problem or know a fix? perhaps i'm missing something very easy, or perhaps theres some conflict on midi channels..

Re: resolume / ableton midi clock sync problems
Hi mi new here, so herer i go,
having got Ableton 8.2.1 i fort all my problem would be over;(
Im having Ableton mind clock snyc/time problems. i fort maybe it was my MIDX8 interface so i used my REMOTE MIDI IN and im still snyc/time problems. i was using my korg elec tribe midi sequencer to sent midi dater in to live8 the timing is well out and the werd fin is its not just out of sync but it speeds up and down as its recording!
so i fort in was the korh elec tribe, but is not that!
i have a nord G2, i made a midi sequencer in the G2 and sent it in to live8 and its still out. its so out of time i can not play/record midi note using live. i been using cubass for 15 year and have cubass 5 install and it all works fine
the midi set ins in live 8 are minimal. abletons forum is down. i been googling the problem and this one sound like the same problem as mine, is not can sum one HELP me or pont me in the right direction
thanks

Re: resolume / ableton midi clock sync problems
in the nord G2 in has master clock display that tell me the BPm of the midi master clock coming out of ableton, just say the Bpm in live8 is set to 120BPM and is playing in the G2, the BPM will jump around between 118bpm and 122bpm which is rubish, no rely crap, sins i just $250 for it. it look like a bug in ableton.

This is a forum for Resolume Avenue, not for Ableton Live. We can't help you with problems related only to Ableton. If the Ableton forum is still down, I suggest contacting their support email directly.

sorry i no this is a Resolume Avenue forum but, i fort i could with help the problem.in my rant imight of gone off subject.
The problem that reeloverlay is describing with the master midi clock is with Ableton and not (i think) with Resolume.
reeloverlay, you and i should move this over to the ableton forum (when it up). i been tested the MTC(master midi clock)on pc and mac and the bug looks like it is with system exclusive with Ableton.
thank

Re: resolume / ableton midi clock sync problems
FYI: MIDI Clock from Ableton is notoriously erratic, the problem is not just at the Resolume end, although I also use Native Instruments Maschine with Ableton via MIDI Clock and its very steady. It seems as though there may be a way to stabilize MIDI Clock sync in the receiving software.
I'm also noticing that the frame rate in Resolume goes down when it is slaving to MIDI Clock. Is this always the case?
