does resolume gain performance with crossfire systems or with x2 cards?
the question is, what is the best performing setup (also for multiscreening)
for our little monster i would suggest 3 ati 5xx0 series cards with 5 or 6 display ports per card
three configurations are in my head so far:
first config:
1x 5970 + 2x 5770 - if x2 crossfire cards are supported... you should have the best performance using the primary card... and if you need 5+ screens... you can attach the other 5770... or tripple heads.
second config:
3x 5870... should be the best single card performance and if crossfire is supported... it should be faster and little cheaper than config 1
third config:
1x 5870 plus 2x 5770.... the cheapest config, also the slowest... but if crossfire is not supported this makes the most sense i think!
and for the crazyness... a 5970 plus 2 5870 should also be able to crossfire together... but i don't want to think on the costs and the power supply for that!
also the variants with 5770 are interesting cause the cards take fewer space in the slots than the bigger ones, but only have 5 instead of 6 display ports, which should be fair for the price and power consumption.
what do YOU think about it, are there any experiences with such systems?

Re: ATI Crossfire/X2 Cards support?
FYI, Resolume does not support crossfire.
